Mayer Hawthorne & The County Live at the Necto
Ann Arbor native Mayer Hawthorne returns home for the 89X Homeboy Show Live at the Necto on Sunday, May 17th.
Mayer Hawthorne and his band The County bring their celebrated new soul sound to the Necto along with DJ Graffiti, CEL-EL (Celsius Electronics) and Yoshi.
89X’s Homeboy Show will highlight Mayer Hawthorne & the County’s sound that is inspired by legendary artists such as Isaac Hayes and Smokey Robinson. Hawthorne is now signed to Stones Throw Records who have taken him on debut tours throughout the U.S. and Europe. His all-star team is rounded out by Ann Arbor natives/Los Angeles based A-Side Worldwide management.
Hawthorne’s band the County draws from local favorites Funktelligence including former members Joseph Abrams, Topher Mohr and Quentin Joseph. These Ann Arbor natives come together to introduce the heartfelt soul sound that is Mayer Hawthorne & the County.
Mayer Hawthorne & the County, Yoshi, CEL-EL and DJ Graffiti are live at the Necto for 89X’s Homeboy Show Live on Sunday, May 17th. Doors open at 7:30PM and 18 and older are welcome. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, advance tickets are on sale now at www.wantickets.com. The Necto is located at 516 E. Liberty Street in Ann Arbor; more information can be found online at www.thenecto.com.
