“Words And Rhythms of the D” Featuring TALIB KWELI and JESSICA CARE MOORE
A celebration of the spoken word featuring performances by Talib Kweli, Jessica Care Moore, Fluent & some of the most talented Detroit area youth poets. ALL AGES WELCOME. $15.
WHERE: Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts – 350 Madison, Detroit.
WHEN: Saturday, February 14th, 2009, 7PM
WHY: In Detroit where nearly 75% of high school students drop out, “Words and Rhythms of the D” celebrates and honors the young poets who blur the lines between Hip-Hop and literature, all the while promoting literacy in a most creative and fun way.
